Helpful Hands and Hearts, a project of the Lake Gaston Retirement Village Foundation, Inc., organizes volunteers to help meet the needs of seniors who are living at home and need assistance to physically access their homes, physicians, pharmacies, and more. Volunteers also make home visits with individuals who are housebound or not able to get out frequently for socialization.

You may feel it is your responsibility, but you do not have to do it alone; you do not have to be a Superhero or a Superwoman. Roanoke Valley Adult Day Center has been privileged to serve older adults, people with disabilities, and their families for the past 27+ years.
Northampton County Office on Aging helps to meet the dietary needs of its elderly clients. Each participant is 60 or older. Some are homebound, some have a form of disability, and/or they are unable to prepare a well-balanced meal for themselves.
Many of the people they serve struggle to receive and maintain quality care. Therefore, preference is given to those who are significantly deprived, both socially and economically, and/or low-income minorities. We continue to serve citizens in eleven towns: Conway, Galatia, Garysbury, Gaston, Henrico, Jackson, Milwaukee, Rich Square, Seabord, Severn, and Woodland.
