The American Red Cross Frederick E. Turnage Chapter serves Halifax, Northampton, Nash, Edgecombe, and Wilson Counties. Our main office is located at 301 N. Church St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804. 

The American Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organization of people helping people. It depends on the generous contributions of time and money to provide vital services to our community.

The mission of our chapter is to help our citizens prevent and prepare for disasters, provide safe shelter in the event of a pending disaster, assist those who are victims of a disaster such as a fire or flood, provide a safe and readily available blood supply, train individuals in lifesaving CPR and First Aid, and provide emergency communication services for members of the armed forces and their families stateside.

Utilizing a national network of over 700 local chapters, the American Red Cross is the largest supplier of blood and blood products, trains nearly 15 million people in vital lifesaving skills, mobilizes relief to victims in more than 70,000 disasters nationwide, assists international disaster and conflict victims through a global network of 186 national societies, and transmits thousands of emergency messages to members of the US Armed Forces and their families.
